The drive to design and construct lower carbon buildings is clear. But better new buildings will only emerge by learning about new techniques and materials, and from the actual performance of others in practice. So this stream examined a variety of products and practices which affect a building’s performance, and it brought everything together by looking at the lessons learned from buildings in use.
All sessions took place in the Hampton Room
The Hampton Room was sponsored by
Driving Performance Improvements - Post Construction TestingThis seminar will provide an industry overview of leading practices with post construction testing, monitoring and feedback. The Good Homes Alliance will launch its 3 year monitoring programme that will monitor and evaluate the building systems/materials and the post occupancy performance of 5 high performance, sustainable homes at Code 4, 5 and Passivhaus. The aim of the project is to close the loop between design and performance, and thereby better inform future designs and specifications. chair: Mat Colmer, Head of Housing and Supply Chain, Energy Saving Trust |
